Castle Sammezzano

The castle was bought in 1605 by Sammezzano Ximenes Aragon and was inherited in 1816 to the Panciatichi. Ximenes Panciatichi to Ferdinand of Aragon, both as a client and architect, was responsible for the present appearance of the complex. The first evidence of the interventions conducted by Ferdinand is “neomoreschi” of 1853. Dates back to 1863 and the construction of the White Room in 1870 the execution of the gallery between the Hall of Mirrors and the octagon of “Fumoir”.
